First off the thing everyone is asking themselves what is life going to be in the future. This question is hard to answer right now because we really don’t know what is going to happen because we have never been in a situation like this where a virus takes over the whole world.
I feel that as we learn more about Covid-19 the more our lives will change for better or worse. Once the spread starts to die down I don’t see us jumping back into our lives like we did before it all started. I don’t see us being back in the classrooms or even at a sporting event for a long time. Sports are what make our country go round and not having anything to watch makes everyone go crazy even President Trump in a statement he gave when asked about the return of sports he said, “We have to get our sports back,” Trump said. “I’m tired of watching baseball games that are 14 years old.”
There is always going to be those people who don’t care about health laws and will try to go and live their normals lives and that puts everyone at risk. If we change as a community and change the way we live just for a few months it will save so many lives. We need to follow the rules that the government says until we get a vaccine and then we can try and get back into our normal grove.
After this starts to die down I think we has a country will still be in some type of fear, we won’t be able to go out like we used to will always think someone maybe sick if the cough next to you. This pandamic is a shock to our culture we’re not used to being locked down and not being able to work. I think for the next year or so we are going to be working online and still practicing social distancing. Forbes magazine spoke about how New York companies can save money by working out of their homes they wrote, “The chief financial officer will tell her CEO about how much money will be saved by ditching pricey New York City offices and allowing employees to work at home.”
The next thing is how should we change as a result of this. I believe that we should all continue to practice safe and healthy procedures of washing our hands every time we enter and leave some where, I believe that the Government should have regulations on imports from China and other hotspots around the world. We have to change the way our hospitals operate in a piece I found they said, “Greater access to effective healthcare, and wrangling with its cost, will be inevitable. People will expect hospitals to have much greater spare capacity”. If we don’t change this and fix the healthcare problems the next time something like this happens we will be screwed.
I think colleges should change the price and they will better the staff on online schooling for upcoming semester if we still can not attend school. Colleges will struggle with getting the numbers for returning students if no one can go back to school. The New York Times wrote, ” in a world altered by the pandemic. And universities, concerned about the potential for shrinking enrollment and lost revenue, are making a wave of decisions in response that could profoundly alter the landscape of higher education for years to come.” College is a stressful time for everyone and not being able to have proper instruction in navigating your way through may make kids not want to attend and that will hurt the universities a lot.
We all need to practice social distancing and stay safe and pray for those who are struggling.

I really liked your post and completely agree with all of it. When you said ” I don’t see us being back in the classrooms or even at a sporting event for a long time.” That is just so shocking and scary to hear because it is most likely true. I also don’t think that everyone is doing social distancing as much as they should, which is sad because that is the main problem.
Hope everything is well! Stay safe!

As Madi stated, it is disheartening to think about how long it could be before we’re back in a classroom or at a sporting event. This sentence also struck me:
“College is a stressful time for everyone and not being able to have proper instruction in navigating your way through may make kids not want to attend and that will hurt the universities a lot.”
It’s going to be a hard time for colleges — great point. I think many students are going to seriously question the value of attending college if classes are held online.
I know you are a huge football fan. I hope we’re somehow able to have a season.
Take care of yourself, Sonny.

I really like the title of your post “Life going forward” at this point all we can do is move forward and learn for this. “After this starts to die down I think we has a country will still be in some type of fear, we won’t be able to go out like we used to will always think someone maybe sick if the cough next to you” I agree with this because life will never be the same people will always think that they are not completely safe and will avoid going to public places like soccer and basketball games. Also, I think that long after this is over many people still make a big deal out of it which will cause some issues instead of moving forward.
Take care my boy.

“I think colleges should change the price and they will better the staff on online schooling for upcoming semester if we still can not attend school.” If this happened I would be so happy. Unfortunately, I don’t really see that happening as universities might say that online courses are just as legitimate as in person— I don’t agree though especially with science labs.
I also agree with your point brought up in your last paragraph how people aren’t going to be enrolling in universities anymore and they will be losing revenue because of this. I could totally see this happening or at least people taking gap years until it is ensured that we could go back to school normally. The more I think about it the more I feel like we won’t be going back in the fall, but we just have to hope for the best. Take care!
