So about a year ago a storm came through my town and caused a massive tree to fall in our back yard. We didn’t know what to do with it because it was a very healthy tree. We decided that it was best to cut it up into small chunks and eventually cut it for fire wood.
Fast forward to this past weekend when corona had my family bored so my dad my brother and I decided to head out back with an axe and have some fun. We spent hours taking hacks at our tree and cut it for fire wood.
We would see who’s stronger and who could chop the wood with one chop, but the tree was so healthy it took all of us to chop through it. My hands were killing me from the consistent pounding of the axe and my shoulders felt terrible the next day. Apart from dodging the wood flying off the tree it was a fun time with my brother and my dad.
That’s a great action shot, Sonny. I like your last sentence a lot. “Apart from dodging the wood flying off the tree it was a fun time with my brother and my dad.” Time with family right now is keeping many of us going.
I once tried to cut up a tree using an ax, and the people around me laughed, saying I’d give up after a few minutes. They were right. It was too hard. I grabbed a chainsaw instead and it was easy.
Ax work is hardcore.

That is real cool picture taken in action lol. But thanked the tree didn’t hurt anyone or anything when it fell. This really just shows how boring this quarantine is. But this is a great time to do things with our families!

I can relate last week when we had bad winds a tree fell and crushed my fence. So my dad real quick got the chain saw and we cleared everything.

This post and storytelling really shows how even the simplest things such as cutting down wood can bring people together. Glad nobody got hurt when the tree fell, A lot of trees fell by my place when hurricane sandy came so I can understand the shock when it happens. I like the story and also like the picture you chose very eye catching.
