Dear, Pops
First, a big thank you!
I never told you this pops but I thank you a lot for what you have done for me in the past and the present tense which is now. Growing up it was never the best environment and I never grew up in the best circumstances but you made it work for me. I would really like to thank you a lot for what you have done, you told me that I should never be satisfied with your results and I always carry that with me throughout every obstacle I’ve been through. Growing up around you makes me realize that I can never give up if I want to chase something. I need to chase it and I need to pursue it hard. Everything I do and everything I have achieved in life so far being a young adult I have seen you do it first. My dream was basketball and you help me pursue it fully, you never let me quit which made me not quit on myself. Throughout my whole basketball journey you helped me stay dedicated , you stayed up with me long nights, early morning you really helped me get through it all. If I pursue my dreams in basketball and make it professionally you have full credibility from me for being one of the biggest influences on why I made it. I know a lot of people that didn’t have their fathers around during tough times or even at all. I am very appreciative for you being there for me period regardless of the extracurricular activities you helped me with. Overall, looking back to my past years I realize that you were hard on me just to get me better and for me to succeed in life. If I knew this back then I would’ve gone 10 times harder than I did to pursue my dreams. Like I always say pops if I make it you make it too. Thank you.
Appreciated,

What a great letter to your dad, Keion. It’s warm and very appreciative. I particularly like your first sentence — “I never told you this pops but I thank you a lot for what you have done for me in the past and the present tense which is now.” It has your distinctive voice and shows the extent to which you feel gratitude for the presence your father has been in your life.
Awesome picture, too.

That’s really awesome you and your pop are close like that I lot of people dream of that.
I can really relate to this ” Growing up around you makes me realize that I can never give up if I want to chase something.” When I was growing up my family use to tell me that anything is possible as long you work very hard toward it.
Dope picture with your pop

You and your dad seem really close. I love the picture at the top it really captures the meaning of this post. I know what it’s like to have a dad so invested in your success and doesn’t want anything less than the best for you. ” Can never give up if you want to chase something” that really hits home because if you want it that bad then you have to go out and get it.
