Masks on
Covid-19 sucks. No other was to put it. It just sucks for so many reasons. People are getting very sick and dying is the top reason. Secondly, its the fact we can’t even see family, friends or socialize in anyway and if we do masks on.
Over this pandemic my beautiful cousin passed away after fighting cancer for 4 long years. The worst part is no one could be with her other then FaceTime just to hear her the doctor call time of death and phone call ends.
How will we change the way we live going forward as a result of covid-19 pandemic?
To start, healthcare will defiantly change. Society will and should appreciate healthcare workers more. I see stories (on TikTok) of nurses not taking there mask off for 12 hours or longer. They take off anything they had on to shower before going in there one house to sleep just to wake up and do the long shift all over again. Terri Rebmann, a nurse researcher and director of the institute for Biosecurity at Saint Louis University, says, “The anxiety of knowing you might be at risk when you’re doing your job can be very challenging for health care workers.” This coronavirus could also change healthcare for the better. It may not look good right now because of because the world is on lockdown. After doing some research and reading the work of authors, Joshua Barocas, M.D., is an infectious disease physician and assistant professor at Boston Medical Center and Boston University School of Medicine and Julia Marcus, Ph.D., is an infectious disease epidemiologist and assistant professor at Harvard Medical School. They wrote, “We are finally protecting workers. For the first time, the federal government is providing paid sick leave so employees do not have to choose between their paychecks and their own health. Some states have reopened health insurance exchanged under the Affordable Care Act…” This shows that the government does see the heartache and pain these healthcare workers go through and want to do all they can to give back.
Social interaction will probably change the most after covid-19. Already people don’t know how to interact with someone or a group of people. Now after 2 months and could be longer we’ve been in solitary confinement within our own homes. Robin Dunbar, a professor of evolutionary psychology at Oxford University, he says it will be difficult to handle. “Physical contact is part of the mechanism we use to set up our relationships, friendships and family memberships,” he says. Another formal of social interaction is through the social media and even that as changed. Normally everyone is posting a picture of there best time of there life or a boyfriend/girlfriend now it’s depressed people alone eating ice cream and everyone complaining about the quarantine. Also with nothing to do, people are spending also most all day on technology. Katie Jones, a writer, says, “Global Web Index found that over 80% of consumers in the U.S. and UK say they consume more content since the outbreak, with broadcast TV and online videos (YouTube, TikTok) being the primary mediums across all generations and genders.”

It’s crazy to think about but it’s true. Human contact is very important in creating friendships, and companionship!
It may be hard for people to find love or even friendship after all of this due to the fact that people may not be open to interaction.
Great work
