I feel like these two questions are very similar, however at the same time the answers to these could be drastically different. Why is that you ask? Well, to start off, this question is being asked from everyone weather or not you even ask it yourself, we all wonder what life will be after “COVID-19”. Are we ever going back to school? Are we ever going to be able to go outside without masks? It’s actually insane how different life is, and how fast everything we thought was “normal” is just becoming another memory.

As I mentioned the answers to these questions could be very different, let me answer what “should” we do. According to the government we should take things slow, limit the people in stores, only allow pickup for food businesses, and no gatherings over a certain amount of people. I think we should keep following these rules until further notice. We should listen to what our government is telling us to do. We should continue to distance ourselves from one another, continue to wear masks, and we should slowly get better over time. If we keep following these set instructions everything should be good and one day things should be normal… right?

This is where the “what will we do” part comes into play, and honestly, I don’t think any of us can answer this question based off facts. I say that because realistically we don’t know what we will do. Humans already caused many ways to harm the earth in the past because we never take things seriously. However, this is very different from past events, for our generation at least, so I would say we will continue to follow the rules. Only because this whole COVID thing is literally affecting everyone and everything on earth, and I feel as if we are all tired of this and everyone misses their normal life they use to live.

Unfortunately, I think no matter what we do, things will not be the same for a while, a long while too. I am hearing about these new cases popping up with zero showing, people are dying left and right thinking they are perfectly healthy. Which if you sit back and think about it, it’s actually insane, imagen feeling completely healthy, no issues, not even a slight cold, just to find out you have a whole virus that’s killing faster then we can even wrap our minds around.

The Economic Times – Healthcare “Of 100 people with infection, 80 do not have symptoms,” Raman R Gangakhedkar, chief epidemiologist, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said on Monday.

I asked my friend Alyssa her opinion on it and she said,” how will we- people are going to be wearing face masks and be more worried about close contact with strangers and germs especially in stores. I think everyone is going to be like using hand sanitizer and shit and just trying to stay as safe as possible. How should we- all taking the proper social distancing precautions by staying at home unless needed to leave for food or work or whatever. and we should continue to wash our hands and stay safe in that regard but also we have to stay aware that there’s probably going to be a second wave and like the Spanish flu it might kill 10x the amount that the first wave killed so people can’t just all the sudden be back to normal w their friends and stuff like that they need to keep up with CDC guidelines and stay aware of everything like that.”

I also interviewed a few other people as well, one person including my neighbor Greg whose response, was a little different. He said,” Well to start off, all this COVID talk is just the government hiding something much bigger. You have to think like you’re one of them and then you’ll really figure it out…” Eventually he did answer my actual question which was,” I think what we will do is continue to move slowly, stay wearing masks, and continue to stay our distance from strangers. Yes, you will have those people who go back to acting like nothing ever happened but overall, I think we will be good.”

For the most part I do agree with him and the things he pointed out, thankfully he did not talk for too long because he seems like he was in quarantine his whole life.

CNN ASIA– I am reading this report where they said they were one of the first to go on lockdown on January 23rd. With 68,128 reported Covid-19 cases in Hubei province, killing 4,512 people. They officially reopened on April 8th. However, most people are still taking precautions following the reopen.

Some people told CNN that they thought a second wave of infections was inevitable. Already the Chinese government is working hard to contain new infections from overseas, with a jump in imported cases — especially from Russia — leading to the country’s highest number of new infections in weeks.

Overall, I do not think anyone really has an idea on what will happen in the future. Everyone will try and do their best to prevent this from ever happening again, however we can never know for sure. The only way to really find out is to just sit back and let it all unfold, whether it is for the better or worse.
