The economy, it runs the world and effects almost everybody their entire lives. Everybody is different, maybe living a lifestyle highly successful, or maybe just getting by. Everybody has their own view on the economy in a general sense. We humans think about money, jobs, status, etc. everyday of our lives not even realizing it. Let’s hear from three different people when asked their own view of the current economy today for a better understanding.

I asked Sonny, my classmate, his views of the economy first. Sonny stated, “I believe our economy is doing great thanks to businesses coming to America. Less regulations and more structured as well I love to see it.” Sonny instantly expressed his strong opinion of an economy that is recently booming. He in general had no negative responses toward our current economy. It is a great thing to see from young adults with confidence in the economy.

I decided to ask my father next to get a more in depth response with his many years of supporting my family. When I used the word current economy, his opinion was instantly positive. My father explained, “Being a small business owner, the economy plays a huge role in the success. With the new administration and the many changes that followed, my business has benefited drastically.” I asked my father how greatly has the economy affected your life? He went on to state how it played a huge role but there is a lot more to it. The bad years slowed his progression despite hard work. But when the good years came the hard work was paying off. He mentioned how the 2008 crisis changed my families life forever as well. Forcing a new occupation for my father, inevitably changing my family and I’s lives too.

I asked my friend Matt, a freshman at Rowan who is also a member of the US Army about his views of the current economy. Matt stated, “Thankfully it is doing fantastic with the virus hurting the stock markets. I may have lost 900$ the past two weeks but I have been very successful in stocks overtime and with my money. I love to see our country succeed and see the unemployment percentage decrease!” Another young adult seeing success in our current economy.

With our country in a recent economic boom, you can argue it benefits the lives of almost everybody. It is easy to say when the economy struggles whether it is a recession or a virus scaring the markets, consequences follow to many people.
