Social Media Brainwashes the Criminal Activity

In today’s world I feel as if the violence being taken place in today’s world is being overlooked by a bunch of nonsense. Everyday there are constant murders, kidnapping, suicides, rapings, actions of police brutality and everyday people go on like these problems do not occur. Everyday people are worried about the unnecessary things when the next sneaker drop is or if Kanye West is still together with Kim Kardashian instead of the bigger picture the crime that is going on in our world, in our face. Which I can’t lie, I fall victim to tuning into unnecessary things that don’t matter in this world. It’s sad to say that social media and the media in general control the world today. That is my opinion.

  The trending topic should not be about celebrities breaking up with each other. The trending topics should be how cops are taking advantage of their powers by killing innocent people, or even women getting kidnapped, there are many other situations that go on, on the day to day basis. There are a lot of criminal activities that occur that do not have any—immediate attention in this world. In today’s world people would rather post a sneaker drop or when supreme releasing their next collaboration instead of reposting a little girl being kidnapped or a post on police brutality. 

Crime is a big thing going on in this world and I feel as if social media is brainwashing people to not recognize what is going on. I also feel as if we did not have phones or social media some of the tragedies that occur will not be occurring. People will be more aware of what is really going on when they take an actual look outside and not look at their phones 24/7. Violence is an extremely huge situation on this planet and some of these concerns could be stopped if the world takes a better look at what is going on in this world.
