It’s a chilly day, my nose red and cheek almost frozen. I jump from building to building in my second semester of my sophomore year at Rowan University. Nothing crazy happening in my life. Just a steady pace of juggling school, work, and my own personal life. My mental health has gotten stronger and the world is even brighter.

Asking where I see myself is five to ten years is a challenge. Talking about the present is much more easier to elaborate. Imagining five to ten years from now I have passed all my classes and graduated from Rowan. I’ve landed a good job in a school as a guidance counselor.

My goal is to one day have a life with success and a white picket fence. I want to own a home with my boyfriend. Then get married, get a dog and have children. Raising children will be nothing less then a full time job, of my part time job as a guidance counselor. I want to make sure my children have stability, security, and educational needs. Therefore, the next ten years I have my work cut out for me.

For all of this to happen I need to keep control of my life. School needs to be a top focus but my personal needs can’t fall far behind. Everything happens for reason but the door is never locked just need to find the right key.
